Born in the city of Bonn and raised in Bad Honnef, a small town in the beautiful Rhineland area in Germany. I first got involved in photography more than 30 years ago with my first 35mm camera, given to me by my loving parents. I have experimented and learned "the ropes", one roll of film at a time. 

 

I have worked with many amazingly talented and creative people in advertising and marketing, both in Europe and the U.S., where I converted from film to digital equipment provided by my employer. My role, aside from promoting products and services in hearing healthcare, was taking portraits of guests visiting our production site in Minnesota or documenting special events and humanitarian missions - for example to El Salvador.

 

It took several more years before I purchased my own digital camera. Initiated by a photo adventure to Cambodia, organized by my dear friend Cameron Hansen. It was during that trip that I re-discovered my passion for photography and got more involved in travel, people, and portrait photography.
